    Heather Blush and The Uppercuts is a trio of rogue troubadours based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Sassy, sultry, and just plain fun, this trio performs original songs designed to knock your socks off!

  2. From the Heart - a Folk/Roots Celebration

    February 14, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM @ Hinton Alliance Church

    Take your sweetheart to dinner on Valentine's Day, then bring her to the annual winter performance of the male chorus, presenting From the Heart, music from the folk/roots tradition. As in the past, the evening will feature the choir and the Blue Diamonds along with individual numbers by members of the larger groups in solos or duets of their choosing. Tickets at the Library, Old Grind and the Wild Orchid.

  3. Death By Chocolate Fundraiser

    Enjoy an evening of sampling decadent chocolate creations by local culinary artists. This is a fundraising event for the ACT Centre project (Arts, Cinema, Theatre) What's not to like? All you can eat chocolate delicacies and supporting a great cause at the same time. Local entertainment and bar service provided. Tickets will be on sale starting Dec. 15/14 at the Hinton Municipal Library; The Old Grind & The Voice.

  16. Bonhomme Carnaval

    February 15, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Hinton Nordic Centre, William Switzer Provincial Park North on Hwy 40, turn left at top of hill

    Bonhomme Carnaval is Hinton's annual outdoor winter carnival celebration of French Canadian culture with traditional activities of maple syrup sugaring off on snow, Norwegian sledding, cross country skiing, traditional meat and sugar pies, homemade lunch, music, RCMP in serge, and the mascot Bonhomme Carnaval. This is a family event of fun and celebration. Cans of real maple syrup will be on sale. This is a Prom 2015 led event. Come and support our graduating class efforts of celebrating Canada! Travel north on hwy 40 to the top of the hill about 17 km and turn left at the Hinton Nordic Centre. If you go past Jarvis lake you've gone too far.

    Winter on the Square Event: Ringette is a team sport which uses some rules and equipment that are similar to hockey. It requires the use of a straight stick to control a blue rubber ring, the objective of the game being to score goals by shooting the ring into the opponent's net.

    February 21, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Parks West Mall

    Local Artisans and Crafters have creatively refashioned wooden chairs into works of art. The chairs will be silent auctionned, with all proceeds benefitting the local non-profit pregnancy care centre.

  19. Come Try a Fat Bike

    February 21, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Maxwell Lake

    Hinton Mountain Bike Association along with bike shops from Hinton and Jasper will be hosting a demo day. Participate in a fat bike race, or sit by the fire and roast a marshmallow.

  21. Snow Creature Building & Contest with Harry Collinge High School

    February 22, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Green Square

    Winter on the Square Event: Individuals or small groups will build snow people or creatures from snow piles that are brought into the square. At the of end of the day judges will look at sculptures and announce the top 3 for effort and originality.
