  1. Pool Shutdown for Annual Maintenance

    September 5, 2016 - October 2, 2016 @ Pool

    The Hinton Recreation Centre Pool Facility will be closed from September 5 through to October 2 for annual maintenance. Rec Centre Staff have struck an agreement with our neighbours in Edson, Grande Cache, and Jasper to ensure users do not miss their swimming activities. Any Hinton Pass Holders will be permitted to use these facilities at no extra charge, although you must have you pass when you visit. As well, for the many Hinton residents who enjoy aquafit activities, Jasper's aquafit class will be welcoming patrons into their classes for only an additional $2.43.

  2. Babysitters Training Course

    This course will run Friday evening from 4:30-8:30pm and Saturday morning from 8:30-5:00pm. There will be 45 minutes given for lunch so please pack your lunch, a few snacks, and water. The Canada Safety Council has been a leader in babysitter training since 1970. The Babysitters Training Course is the oldest and most recognized course in Canada. The Babysitters Training Course is loaded with special features such as: Rights and Responsibilities Child Development and Behavioral Problems Caring for the Child Nutrition Safety and Basic First Aid Handling Emergencies The Sick Child Games and Play Activities Children with Special Needs Advice for Parents Participants must get 75% on the test to pass.
